Shortly after its formation in 1986, Jerome Associates was selected by New York City's Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and successfully participated in many HPD programs. The selection process is based on tenant and personal interviews. The programs include the TIL Construction Management Program, the first and second round of the Third Party Transfer Program, the Neighborhood Ownership Works (NOW) Program, the Private Ownership and Management Program (POMP), and at the request of HPD renovated additional distressed POMP properties. Jerome is currently recommended as the manager for 7A appointment of buildings that have been abandoned.
